Pentre Farm | Brynmawr Farm | Hopesay Glebe Farm
The herd of pedigree traditional Herefords, now a rare breed, was established in 1940 along with the flock of Clun Forest sheep. These prize winning animals graze on flower rich permanent pastures (including Shropshire Wildlife sites) which, combined with low stocking rates and mixed grazing, ensure healthy livestock. Apples and walnuts are being grown in the river valley and potatoes on the windswept hills crossed by the prehistoric ridgeway. Wildlife abounds with 130 plant species in the ancient hay meadows and fox, badger, otter, pole cat, barn owl, kite, curlew, kingfisher, lapwing and dippers are all notable residents of Cow Hall and its surrounds.
