Pentre Farm | Cow Hall | Hopesay Glebe Farm

Brynmawr is a 217 acre organic mixed hill farm. We produce traditional breed beef cattle and sheep, including Highland and Hereford cattle and Hebridean sheep. These breeds are particularly well adapted to grazing the habitats found both on the farm and the adjacent Shropshire Wildlife Trust reserve.

Barley and oats are grown for feeding and littering the animals. Potatoes, carrots, leeks and swedes are grown and sold at local farmers markets.

The farm is in a scheme which provides many environmental benefits including hedgerow restoration, erection of bird and bat boxes, creation of wetland scrapes for birds and late cutting of hay meadows to allow plants to flower and set seed.

We also have an eco friendly stone cottage on the farm for holiday accommodation. Its 'green' features include a wind turbine, solar hot water panels and a high-efficiency wood burning stove.
